mole removal

More and more people are choosing to get moles, warts, verrucas and skin tags removed from their bodies. These are cosmetic procedures, and we totally understand why someone would want to get it done. You could have a mole on a certain part of your body which you don’t want as you may not like the appearance. Nowadays there are lots of easy procedures, such as the ones we offer at Perfection Cosmetic Clinic near Manchester. But before then, there was a surgical process which wasn’t nearly as nice. Thankfully now that’s a thing of the past!

We all get moles

It’s a common occurrence for everyone to get a mole somewhere on your body, so it’s never anything to worry about. They can appear in your childhood; by reaching adulthood, you could have anywhere from ten to 40 or more moles. They are mostly harmless – you only need to worry if they change colour or shape, or if you’ve had any sun damage and noticed new moles on your body.

The old ways weren’t always the best

Most moles don’t require any medical attention and people just want them removed for cosmetic reasons. Before we had the technology that’s available today, the methods for removal were all surgical. This meant you had to visit a clinician offering surgical removal procedures such as shaving or excising.

Surgical excision would see the practitioner numb the area where the mole is. Then they’d use a scalpel to remove it from the skin. Part of the skin underneath and around the mole would also be removed and you’d require the area to be cauterised and then stitched.

The shaving method was less intrusive and basically ‘shaved’ off the mole as opposed to cutting it out. The mole would levelled out to the same depth as your skin and then the area around the mole was lightly cauterised to help improve the appearance.

Both these methods would require treatment afterwards as you’d need to make sure the wound heals properly. This could involve putting on special creams or ointments and changing bandages frequently. It’d also require a follow-up checkup to make sure that it has healed the right way.  But nowadays, things are much more simple…

…with laser technology

Technological advances have meant that mole removal is far more effective now. In fact, mole removal treatment in Bolton, such as the procedures offered by Perfection Cosmetic, can help remove stubborn moles in just one session!

How does our treatment work? First of all, book an appointment with us to arrange a consultation. Then one of our experts will talk through the process involved and book you in for a session. When you arrive at Perfection Cosmetic, we’ll aim to remove all the moles in one session. We use our CO2 laser against the moles and other techniques such as cauterisation. This destroys the dark pigment, reducing its appearance until it’s no longer visible. Not only is this a quick process, but there’s practically no risk of scarring either. This is what makes our newer methods much more practical, safer and more popular than the old surgical mole removal procedures.

If you’ve got moles that you want removed then we offer some of the best mole removal treatment in Bolton. Just get in touch with us today to book an appointment and we can arrange a consultation.
